Lord Horatio Nelson was Character Jug of the Year in 2005.

A somewhat lesser-known instrument of war at the turn of the nineteenth century, Lord Horatio Nelson is most famous for leading the defeat of Nepolian's fleet at the Battle of the Nile in 1798. He was something of renegade during his service and his penchant for battle led to loss of his right eye in 1793 and right arm in 1797. This character jug, showing his eye in-tact, was modelled after his 'pre-1793' likeness.
